I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the Dynamic Legged Systems (DLS) Lab, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). My research sits at the intersection of perception, SLAM, state estimation, and legged robotics, with an emphasis on systems that remain reliable when classical assumptions break, focusing on:
Robustness
Reducing brittleness in point cloud registration, visual SLAM in dynamic scenes, and state estimation on challenging terrain.
Adaptation
Estimators that adjust their behavior online (e.g., VAR-SLAM).
Long-Term Autonomy
Mapping and memory for evolving environments, including persistence and forgetting (e.g., Changing-SLAM).
